I am Gwiazda, which in polish means "star" - founder of GWIAZDA STUDIO.
I am a product designer and my first glass object was brought to life in cooperation with the last Warsaw glassmaker in 2017, while I was still a student at the Academy of Fine Arts. At that moment, I had no idea that I would someday tie my future to glass.
However, a few years later I designed Kinderbal and set foot in a glass factory. Since then, I have found that there is no more magnetic place than a glassworks or more phenomenal material than glass. Hot glass is eternally vibrant and unpredictable. And that's what I like most about it.
What inspires me in glass is its centuries-old manufacturing process, its vibrant colors and magical flickers and imperfections. Through GWIAZDA STUDIO, I seek the unusual in the seemingly defined world of objects. I want to design timeless objects that deserve to be called ancestral tableware.
